Employee Engagement Consulting Services for a More Connected and Productive Workforce
Civility Partners provides employee engagement consulting services that help organizations understand what employees need to feel connected, motivated, and supported at work. Through assessment, strategy, leadership guidance, and practical action planning, we help organizations improve morale, strengthen communication, increase retention, and create a healthier employee experience.
Signs Your Workforce May Be Disengaged
Disengagement is not always obvious at first. It often shows up through lower participation, weaker communication, reduced enthusiasm, and subtle shifts in how employees show up, collaborate, and contribute.
Low engagement can slowly affect every part of the organization. When employees feel disconnected from their work, their managers, or the organization’s direction, productivity, retention, communication, and trust can decline. Civility Partners helps leaders identify what’s driving disengagement and build practical strategies that improve the employee experience.
What Low Employee Morale Is Costing Your Organization
Up to 23% Profitability Left on the Table
According to a Gallup Survey, low morale can quietly limit performance, customer experience, and the discretionary effort that drives stronger profit
Up to 18% Productivity Loss
When employees feel disconnected, frustrated, or unsupported, output suffers and managers spend more time pushing work forward.
Up to 78% More Absenteeism Risk
Low morale can show up in missed work, burnout, disengagement, and employees mentally checking out before they leave.
Employee morale is not just a “people issue.” It affects how work gets done, how employees collaborate, and whether people choose to stay. When employees feel unheard, undervalued, or disconnected, the organization pays through lost productivity, higher turnover, weaker trust, and reduced performance.
How Employee Engagement Impacts Business Performance
Employee engagement affects the way people communicate, collaborate, solve problems, and serve the organization’s goals. When engagement is strong, employees are more likely to contribute, stay, and perform. When it’s weak, productivity, retention, and morale often suffer.
Retention Risk
Disengaged employees are more likely to leave, creating replacement costs, lost knowledge, and team disruption.
Productivity Loss
Low morale reduces focus, initiative, collaboration, and the quality and quantity of work employees produce.
Manager Effectiveness
Managers have a direct impact on engagement, communication, motivation, and employee trust. When managers are disengaged or lack the skills to support their teams, employees are more likely to feel disconnected, unsupported, and less committed to their work.
Culture Connection
Employees are more engaged when they understand expectations, feel valued, and see leaders follow through.
Helping Organizations Build Engagement and Connection
Our employee engagement consulting services help organizations understand what employees are experiencing, identify the factors affecting morale and motivation, and build practical strategies for improving connection, retention, and performance.
Stronger engagement happens when leaders understand what employees need and take visible action to improve the workplace experience.
The OIL Model
Our Proven Framework for Workforce Satisfaction
Civility Partners uses the OIL Model to understand how employee engagement is shaped by three levels of behavior: Organizational, Individual, and Leadership Team behavior.
- Organizational Behavior
Culture is shaped by the systems, policies, processes, communication, technology and workplace norms your organization already has in place. Examining these reveals how your structures either support or undermine the culture you want, what to change, and how to change them.
- Individual Behavior
Every employee, manager and leader brings behaviors that either strengthen or strain the workplace. Identifying what needs to stop, start, or shift, upskilling at every level, and holding people accountable with updated systems facilitates a healthier, more productive culture.
- Leadership Team Behavior
Culture change succeeds or stalls based on what leaders do every day. When leadership teams align their expectations, accountability, communication, and decision-making with the culture they want to build, and reinforce it through tools like coaching, training, transparency, and recognition, the business impacts are real.
Success Stories from Workplace Engagement Consulting
Civility Partners helps organizations move from employee feedback to measurable progress by improving communication, leadership alignment, and the employee experience.
Transforming the Organization’s Lowest-Engagement Location
- Challenge
A company-wide engagement survey consistently revealed that one particular location was far less engaged than others. We were hired to improve engagement, and our own survey also showed low scores; only 55% of the workforce was engaged.
- Solution
The administrator put together an action team to develop and implement a plan, including creating core values, training, a “suggestion box” with transparent outcomes, re-creating the onboarding program, and more connection between the administrator and her staff.
- Outcome
The second survey revealed a 14% increase in engaged employees, and 100% of survey questions improved – some by more than 30%.
Increasing Employee Engagement Post-Strike
- Challenge
Post-strike a team felt a complicated mix of emotions. Leadership was angry and burned out, middle managers felt distrustful of staff due to their behavior on the picket line, and employees were ready to get back to work.
- Solution
Listening sessions and interviews with the team resulted in leadership coaching, and agreement between union and leadership outlining expectations, operational clarity, and workshops to create shared ownership of culture.
- Outcome
Pre and post-strike engagement survey scores improved an average of 61%. Four areas (communication, passion, growth, belonging) showed over 100% improvement.
Creating Psychological Safety
- Challenge
A newly hired Executive Director noticed subtle signs of a negative culture – employees avoided him, everyone kept their heads down, and the tension was noticeable.
- Solution
Initially hired to conduct a training program, the feedback highlighted a need for deeper understanding through a survey. Post-survey work included 1:1 coaching for several leaders, partnering with an action team to create a roadmap for change, more transparency from the top, and updated formal feedback loops.
- Outcome
Employees reported a 41% increase in feeling valued at work, a 47% increase in transparency, and a 20% increase in willingness to recommend as a good place to work.
Common Employee Engagement Challenges We Help Solve
Employee engagement challenges often show up in everyday behaviors, communication gaps, and employee feedback before they become larger retention or performance problems.
- Low morale across teams or departments
- Employees feeling unheard or undervalued
- Weak manager-employee communication
- Limited trust in leadership follow-through
- Burnout, fatigue, or emotional exhaustion
- Low participation in workplace initiatives
- Disconnection from mission or goals
- Retention concerns among valued employees
Engagement improves when leaders move beyond generic survey results and focus on the real drivers of employee experience. Civility Partners helps organizations identify what’s affecting morale, prioritize the right actions, and create sustainable strategies that strengthen trust, connection, and performance.
